As the world celebrates International Women’s Day, the AIDS Healthcare Foundation Nigeria says it will be engaging women across 154 facilities in the seven states of operation – FCT, Anambra, Akwa Ibom, Benue, Cross River, Kogi, and Nasarawa states in commemoration of the event.
AHF also said it will distribute free sanitary pads to women in its engagement programmes.
The IWD is celebrated on March 8 annually and the official theme of the day for the United Nations is ‘Invest in women: Accelerate progress.’
