The Ekiti State Government, Southwest Nigeria, has launched a free healthcare programme for over 19,000 retirees.
This was made known by the state Commissioner for Health and Human Services, Dr. Oyebanji Filani, on the X handle of the state government on Thursday.
“Ekiti State Government has launched free healthcare services for more than 19,000 pensioners who previously worked in the State and Local Government Public Services.
“This initiative is part of the State Insurance Scheme, and it was announced by the state Commissioner for Health and Human Services, Dr. Oyebanji Filani, during a meeting at the Pensioners’ Secretariat in Ado-Ekiti.
“The commissioner further stated the need for all pensioners to make themselves available for sensitisation, understand the process, and know the centres to access medical care,” the statement read
