Two Nigerians, whose identities were undisclosed, have been arrested by the Libyan authorities for possession of substances suspected to be hard drugs. The substances were identified as hashish and hallucinogenic.
The report disclosed that the drugs were of commercial quantities and ready for distribution when the suspects were arrested.
The report read, ”CID in Zliten arrested two undocumented migrants of Nigerian nationality on charges of drug trafficking. The individuals were found in possession of quantities of hashish and hallucinogenic pills ready for distribution.“
It noted that the two suspects have been handed over to the appropriate legal authorities for further investigation and possible prosecution.
The statement said, “Both individuals were referred to the Anti-Narcotics Agency for legal action.”
