The United Nations Children Fund, on Friday, condemned the abduction of over 280 students and teachers of Government Secondary School and LEA primary school, Kuriga, in the Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State, Northwest Nigeria, by bandits.
UNICEF revealed that it is coordinating with local officials to provide assistance to the affected parents and families through psychological support services.
PUNCH Healthwise reports that the bandits reportedly invaded the area on Thursday, shooting at their victims before taking away at least 280 pupils and teachers from both schools.
