According to a Vanguard article, Rev. Funke Felix-Adejumo, a well-known Nigerian preacher and marriage counselor, recommended married men not to put themselves under too much stress in an attempt to please their spouses on Sunday, July 5, 2026.
The cleric stated that husbands should continue to be dedicated to their domestic duties but shouldn’t endanger their health, peace of mind, or life while attempting to fulfill every expectation during a sermon that has gone viral on social media.
According to her, women often want improvements and changes in various areas of life, which makes it challenging for any man to fulfill all of their desires completely. Even when they have natural characteristics, she used examples from fashion trends and beauty to show how frequently women seek new styles and improvements.
Rev. Adejumo emphasized that males should prioritize doing their best for their relatives Instead of feeling overburdened by the obligation to satisfy every demand, she urged husbands to support their wives, work hard, and provide for their homes, but also take care of themselves.
According to her, the preacher pointed out that a lot of males experience financial and emotional strain as a result of their persistent attempts to satisfy their wives’ every demand. A balanced strategy is essential for family life and healthy marriages.
Rev. Adejumo advised wives to create their own sources of income and not be entirely dependent on their spouses while addressing women during the same discourse. In order to aid their families financially, she urged women to establish professions, businesses, and investments.
“Listen to me very, very carefully. Do all things, but don’t take your own life. There is no man that can satisfy a woman. She said, “Married men, listen to me, I’m a woman speaking to you right now.
