A man identified as Emma has allegedly gone into hiding after he reportedly beat his wife, Nora, a mother of three, to death following a dispute over her visit to the husband of her late friend in Delta State.
According to Mediatoday, Nora had informed her husband of the planned visit, and he reportedly gave his approval.
Reports said Nora visited Cyril, whose wife, Jennifer, had died during childbirth, accompanied by her sister before returning home later that day.
However, Emma allegedly became angry and accused her of visiting another man despite her earlier explanation.
A relative of the deceased alleged that Emma attacked Nora with an iron object before chasing her outside their home, where he reportedly continued the assault in the presence of their three children, aged 8, 5, and 1.
The family further claimed that the suspect left Nora lying unconscious and returned about two hours later, only to discover she was unresponsive.
He allegedly raised the alarm before fleeing the area and has remained at large since the incident.
As of the time of this report, authorities have not issued an official statement regarding the alleged killing or the ongoing search for the suspect.
