A woman has been arrested in Kano State after she allegedly stabbed her boyfriend and severed his manhood during a violent confrontation in the Badawa area.
According to Punch News, the victim sustained severe injuries and is currently receiving treatment at a medical facility.
The Kano State Police Command confirmed that the suspect is in custody while detectives investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident. Punch News reported that authorities are working to establish what led to the attack.
The incident adds to a growing number of similar cases across Nigeria. In May 2025, a 43-year-old woman was arrested in Rivers State for allegedly biting off part of her lover’s manhood during a dispute.
In October 2024, another woman in Ogun State was accused of cutting her husband’s manhood with a sharp object during an argument, while a June 2024 case in Kaduna saw neighbours prevent a newly married woman from allegedly carrying out a similar attack.
