Musician Adejoke Tella has revealed that she fled her marriage after allegedly discovering her husband was involved in a suspected money ritual, saying she feared for her life and the safety of their child.
According to Elizabethblog, Tella said the incident left her convinced that remaining in the marriage was too dangerous.
Tella explained that she became suspicious in 2016 after noticing her husband repeatedly entering and locking an unused room at night.
She alleged that he later confessed to visiting a herbalist in Ipetu with a friend for a money ritual, claiming they were instructed to complete a task within one week or face severe consequences.
According to Tella, after the deadline passed, her husband’s behaviour changed dramatically, leading her to believe he had become mentally unstable.
Fearing he could harm her or their child, she said she decided to leave the marriage.
She recalled that her husband claimed the herbalist warned that if they failed to carry out the assigned task within a week, one of them would die while the other would lose his sanity.
Tella said the alleged confession convinced her to end the relationship for the safety of herself and her child.
