A Canada-based Nigerian woman, Prophetess Ezinne Nwanorue, has sparked widespread reactions online after celebrating the death of her mother-in-law in a Facebook post, describing the deceased as a “wicked witch.”
According to Punch News, she shared the funeral poster of her late mother-in-law, Comfort Nwanorue, on Monday alongside a series of controversial remarks.
In the post, Ezinne claimed her late mother-in-law had worked against her destiny and declared that others she considered evil would also face judgment. The comments drew criticism from many social media users, who condemned her for rejoicing over the death of a family member.
The development has renewed attention on Ezinne’s earlier public dispute with her husband, Franklin Chimaobim Nwanorue. The couple previously went viral after she required him to publicly swear an oath that he would never be unfaithful before relocating to Canada.
In the widely circulated video, Franklin vowed that he would remain faithful and declared that he should die if he ever cheated on his wife. However, Ezinne later alleged that he broke the oath by engaging in an affair with another woman after arriving in Canada.
Her latest post has reignited public discussion about the family’s ongoing conflict. As of the time of the report, neither Franklin Nwanorue nor any other member of the family had publicly responded to her latest comments.
