Three children were found dead at the residence of a female native doctor in Ideani, Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State, while police have arrested the suspect and launched an investigation. According to Arise News, the disturbing discovery was made at the woman’s home in Umuoduba village, leaving residents in shock.
The victims, believed to be between six and 15 years old, have not yet been identified, while the circumstances surrounding their deaths remain under investigation. Reports suggest the children may have either been working for the woman, who reportedly keeps pigs and birds, or could be related to her, although authorities have not confirmed either claim.
A fourth individual was reportedly found alive at the residence and was taken to a hospital for medical treatment. The suspect has since been taken into custody and is being held at the Ogidi Police Division pending the outcome of investigations.
The bodies of the three children have been deposited in a mortuary, while a video circulating online showed police officers at the scene as the woman was escorted away by security personnel.
As of the time of reporting, the Anambra State Police Command had not issued an official statement confirming the incident or revealing the identity of the arrested suspect. Investigators are expected to determine the identities of the deceased, establish the cause of their deaths, and clarify their relationship with the woman in custody.
