A female motorist has lost her life after the Toyota Sienna she was driving reportedly veered off the road and crashed into a roadside building in the Mongoro area, inward Ile-Zik, Lagos State. According to Daily Post, the fatal incident was confirmed by the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA), which described it as a lone road crash.
Preliminary findings showed that the driver, who was the only occupant of the vehicle with registration number LND 162 HB, lost control before the vehicle left the roadway and slammed into a nearby structure. The impact of the collision was severe, and she was pronounced dead at the scene.

Operatives from the Afonka Police Post, under the Shasha Divisional Police Headquarters, also provided security throughout the emergency response until the evacuation was completed.
Reacting to the tragedy, LASTMA General Manager Olalekan Bakare-Oki described the incident as a painful reminder of the dangers of excessive speeding and reckless driving. He urged motorists to obey speed limits, drive responsibly, and ensure their vehicles are in good mechanical condition before embarking on any journey.
The agency also extended its condolences to the family of the deceased, praying for the strength to cope with their loss.
